Starware Yazılım LTD. ŞTİ. - Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Effective Date: July 25, 2025
1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs the use of all software applications (“Apps”) developed and sold by Starware Yazılım LTD. ŞTİ. (“We”, “Us”, “Our”) on the Atlassian Marketplace. This includes our Cloud applications built on the Atlassian Forge platform and our Data Center applications for on-premise Atlassian products like Jira.
This AUP is an integral part of our End User License Agreement (EULA). By installing, accessing, or using our Apps, you and any users you authorize (“You”, “Your”) agree to comply with the terms of this policy.
2. Purpose
The purpose of this AUP is to protect the security, integrity, and operational stability of our Apps, the underlying Atlassian platform, our infrastructure, and the community of users. It ensures that our Apps are used in a lawful, responsible, and ethical manner.
3. Prohibited Activities
You may not use our Apps to engage in, promote, or facilitate any of the following activities. Engaging in these activities may result in immediate suspension or termination of your license and access to our Apps.
3.1. Illegal and Harmful Activities
- Unlawful Use: Using the Apps in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
- Harmful Content: Storing, transmitting, or linking to any content that is fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, abusive, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. This includes content that promotes hate speech, violence, or discrimination.
- Infringement of Rights: Violating the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of a third party. This includes transmitting copyrighted material without authorization.
3.2. Security and Network Integrity
- Malicious Software: Distributing, uploading, or executing viruses, malware, trojans, worms, spyware, or any other software intended to damage or disrupt another’s browser, computer, or data.
- Unauthorized Access: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to, probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our Apps, systems, networks, or the Atlassian Cloud infrastructure.
- Interference: Interfering with or disrupting the service of any user, host, or network. This includes, but is not limited to, denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, mail bombing, or other flooding techniques.
- Reverse Engineering: Except to the extent permitted by applicable law, you may not decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer our Apps or attempt to derive their source code.
3.3. Data and Content Misuse
- Spamming: Sending unsolicited commercial emails, bulk messages, promotions, or other forms of “spam”.
- Phishing and Deception: Misrepresenting your identity, impersonating any person or entity, or engaging in phishing, pharming, or other attempts to collect sensitive information under false pretenses.
- Data Scraping: Using automated systems (e.g., bots, scrapers) to access the Apps or extract content or data in a manner that is not explicitly permitted by the App’s functionality or that places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
3.4. Violation of Atlassian’s Policies
4. Specific Considerations for App Types
While the policy above applies to all our Apps, the following specific terms are relevant to each deployment model:
- For our Cloud (Forge) Apps: You acknowledge that our Cloud Apps operate on a shared infrastructure. You agree not to perform any action that could degrade the performance, stability, or security of the service for other customers. Excessive or abusive use of APIs or resources that negatively impacts the service for others is strictly prohibited.
- For our Data Center Apps: You are solely responsible for securing the on-premise environment, servers, network, and Atlassian product instances where our Data Center Apps are installed. However, this AUP still governs how you use the App. You may not use our Data Center App, even within your own infrastructure, for purposes prohibited by this policy (e.g., sending spam, coordinating attacks).
5. User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for all activity originating from your Atlassian instance associated with the use of our Apps.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your credentials for Atlassian products.
- If you are an administrator for an Atlassian product, you are responsible for ensuring that your users comply with this AUP.
6. Enforcement and Violations
We reserve the right to investigate any actual or suspected violation of this AUP. At our sole discretion, we may take one or more of the following actions:
- Issue a warning.
- Suspend your access to our App or support services.
- Terminate your license for the App without a refund.
- Report the activity to Atlassian.
- Report the activity to appropriate law enforcement agencies and cooperate fully with their investigation.
7. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to us immediately.

- Subject: AUP Violation Report
Please provide as much information as possible, including logs, screenshots, and a description of the activity, to help us investigate.
8. Modifications to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this AUP at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the updated policy on our website or through the Atlassian Marketplace listing. Your continued use of our Apps after such a modification constitutes your acceptance of the new AUP.
